Great place to get some Dawgs! Tried the peanut butter dog and it's sweet and meaty taste really is worth trying. I loved it! Also tried the wild hog dog and the BBQ / spicy flavor was also really good. I will come back.

So many dogs! So many good dogs! I love the classic Yesterdog, but Maddogz has so much more to offer. If you are wanting a new great experience away from the good ol' fashion taste of yesterdog, Mad Dogz is the place!!! I was super happy.

Very good dogs and fries. I'm originally from Chicago so I'm very, very picky about hot dogs but this place is one of the best in the GR area.

The 'dogs just don't get any better than this. Nice little cozy place to sit down and enjoy with a very pleasant staff :)

Delicious dogs, the staff was very courteous I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good sloppy hot dogs. Try the wild hog!

Yeah, five stars it is and I don't usually do that but this place is legit. Great hot dog joint where creativity and execution earn the five stars. The bun is flawlessly fresh and never soggy in 5-6 visits, hot wiener, fresh crisp fixins like pickle and onion and everything just comes together. I recommend the "goofy" with peanut butter and chili-- I know-- just do it. Only possible complaint would be their early closing time at 7pm-8pm most nights....what am I supposed to do when I'm out late and crave a dog? Good job mad dogz!

I have to admit after visiting for lunch one day, I couldn't go back for awhile. Not because I didn't like it but it was just too much food. I have been back once a week for months now and can't get enough of the Goofy Dog (it has peanut butter with fritos and shredded pickles & chilli) sounds weird but it's delicious. All I have to say is try it and you will see how this works beautifully. The owners always make you feel welcome and are very quick. The best part is that they only give you one dog at a time so their fresh and hot. 2 dogs is plenty, atleast if you wanna be productive for work after lunch. Give em a try for a big dog with lots of fresh veggies and nice atmosphere.

Best veggie dog I have ever had in a restaurant! So freaking yummy I had to get a second ruben dog. Lol They are also cheap, really cheap compared to other places in the city.

this is my new comfort food place. It is just easy, relaxing and yummy, and I enjoy trying new combos especially since they have some very interesting ones...so that also makes them fun! Want to eat out but not really? this is the place, you are waited on, don't have to change clothes to go there and can expect to be satisfied every time you go. No matter what I am craving one of their dogs will take care of it!

Yesterwho?? Best dogs in town, totally worth the 10 minute drive across town. The super friendly people who own it and work there make it worth the drive. The delicious dogs make it worth the drive. The lack of snarky college aged boys working there makes it worth the drive. The sheer amount of toppings makes it worth the drive. Someone tell Yester-you-know-who to come in for a lesson on delicious. An all beef hot dog is a game changer. Two dogs and you will almost eat yourself sick. Check the menu out before hand, lots of choices, you just might miss something you never thought you'd try. My favorite is the Wild Hog, it has BBQ, Frank's Red Hot sauce, coleslaw, freaking bacon and onion and probably other things I'm forgetting, but it's phenomenal. Such an unusual combination and so delightful and tasty. Tried the one with peanut butter once, it was an afterthought and I ordered it to cut up into 4 pieces to share with my lunch buddies. It ended up being on the house! What a nice thing to do. It was so good, and odd, but so good. They have regular type dogs too, chili dogs-plain stuff, and they make them one at a time and bring them as soon as you are finishing the first one. You have to eat two they are too good to eat just one. Step outside the box, try something different and it will soon become the norm!!

Well worth the drive for these delicious and fully loaded dogs. The dogs are 100% beef although they also have a veggie version. Right off 131 near the ballpark.

As far as Grand Rapids hot dogs go, this is as good as you're gonna get. They take their hot dogs seriously and have a ton of different and interesting things on the menu. Reasonable prices and excellent service. I would highly recommend that you head over if interested in a good dog. Updated 1-10-14: They changed their policy and are now charging for tap water. Seriously? I love the dogs and local ownership, but I've got a real problem with driving past 2 hot dog places to go here and pay for tap water (fifty cents last I checked). I won't be back until that changes guys, sorry.

The best hot dogs in GR hands down!!! The service is great fast and very friendly. They bring your dogs right out to you one at a time piled high with anything you wish, I love the vegi mad dog :)The dogs never get soggy or gross cause they bring them out one by one as you finish them. What a treat check them out

I love trying to support new business's, so I stopped in for the lunch the other day and was impressed. The service was great, and it has a nice mom and pop feel to it. Ordered the Mad Dog and a BOTTLED root beer (yum) and it was very, very good. Dog was so loaded with pickles and onions I had a hard time finishing it. I'd recommend it to anyone who is in town. Only bad thing is I wish they had longer hours on weekends.

I have to give mad dogs 3 stars. The topping selection is nice but being this is a hot dog joint, they really should offer a larger selection of actual hot dog meat. Till then it's just hot dogs u buy at Walmart but pay an arm and leg for. I am still looking forward to a hotdog joint that embraces The history of not only the hotdog of supermarket type for profit, but also the many ethnic variations of this food stuff. Somebody will I hope.

Holy Awesome Mound of Heaven! This is exactly the kind of place that gets on my 5 star list! Totally off the wall combinations of your favorite sandwiches and meals, delicately crafted into a hot dog. Can you honestly tell me what's more American than that? Just like every other review I've seen, the Goofy Dog is off the chain! When you put chili, peanut butter (crunchy or creamy), pickles, and crushed Fritos together it makes for one extraordinary, lip smacking, saliva inducing moment not soon forgotten. I've got to be honest, I was a little hesitant to put PB and chili together, but somehow it works. And it's amazing! I also had the Dizzy Dog - sauerkraut, mustard, thousand island dressing, and a mountain of cheese that you have to scoop off the wrapper with a fork. If you're a Reuben fan, DO...NOT...HESITATE! If I wouldn't turn into a thousand pounds of gluttonous mass, I'd eat here every day!

Excellent, Fast, Friendly, Diner-esk experience! I ordered the Chi Chi and it was overfilled and delicious! The staff is also very friendly! The only thing I would've done differently was ordered 2! Highly recommend!

Had the devil dog, good price, not a bad dog, but kinda boring, not as hot as I was hoping for. Next time I'll get something more exciting.

My husband and I stopped by for lunch today and we were pleasantly surprised. There are so many options to choose from, and we ordered 4 different kinds. The Chicago style and Goofy were my favorites (Goofy has peanut butter and Fritos on it....totally different and delicious). Customer service was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. I felt the prices were fair considering the amount of toppings received. I thought the place was very clean and quaint. Definitely going to be a regular lunch place for us.

Great dogs, friendly staff and cheap! Found this place using yelp while driving through and am beyond thankful. There is a menu item as unique as every patron in there. A dog with peanut butter?? I think I may have found heaven.

Mind blown! That's how I felt biting into the Goofy dog - crunchy peanut butter, chili, pickle relish, topped with crushed Frito's chips on top of a dog in a steamed bun. Yep, you read that correctly- it had crunchy peanut butter on it (or creamy if you like that)! Biting into it, I tasted all the 'layers' of flavor- first the peanut butter, then the chili, then the relish, and finally the chips. The peanut butter made it super filling and the salty of the peanut butter tastes pretty good with the savory of the hot dog and the sweet of the pickles. I don't know that I need to do this dog every time I visit, but I'm sure glad I tried it once. Now the Chiliemacaloco- I can have this one every day! My second dog came out with Mac and Cheese, chili, sriracha, jalapenos, and crushed Frito's to top it off with. I did light sriracha on mine because I sometimes can't handle thing that are too, too hot, and it was perfect that way. The mac and cheese was super goopy and cheddar-y making the hot dog fun to eat. I felt like a kid that combined all my favorite foods to build a new, super food! The owner was really nice and fun to talk with during my visit . He was patient as I took several pictures of my food and waited for my facial expression after taking my first bite of both hot dogs. After finishing up my meal, I humbly offered myself up as a taste tester for future menu additions. No word yet if they will take me, but I'm sure glad I got to try these two popular favorites. Their hot dog list keeps expanding so check out their facebook page to keep up with their creative additions.

This place is definitely worth a trip! Super friendly service and really good, inventive hot dogs. I liked the ones with mac and cheese the best, but they were all amazing and piled high with great toppings! I will definitely be back.

Literally one of he best hot dog places in the State. They have the best toppings combos. If you want to try something fun and new with the fam and kids this is the place to do it. I fed my family of four for around $30 which included chips and fountain pop. You can count on leaving here full on 1-2 hot dogs.

This place catered a school function in comstock park which is my one and only experience. Whoever the guy was that was working this event had a very tight control of his weenies. I mean, only serving up one dog per person? Strange I thought. When I asked if they offered a gluten free bun option for my wife who has a gluten allergy I was told that she could have one without the bun. REALLY? GEE THANKS MR. WIZARD. Anyway, lots of signs posted about only taking one dog, drink, cookie, etc. per person which made it seem very strict and not fun. Like we were being watched. We ended up being fine with it after all because the dogs weren't what we expected anyway. Overall bad experience for us. No need for us to visit the restaurant if this is how they cater a grade school event in their own hometown. Seems others like it so not sure if they were just out of sorts doing the catering thing...

I know what you're thinking, "Eric, how does a simple hot dog joint never get rated below 3 stars... a HOT DOG JOINT!?!" The answer is simple... Peanut Butter... So there I am wandering around the Comstock Park area, realizing the only thing I ever eat while I'm up there is B-Dubs. My friend tells me about a little hot dog joint that is really amazing. So into Mad Dogz I go. I ask the kind lady behind the counter what I should order if I want something special. She asks if I like Peanut Butter... I wonder why she would ask that and say yes. She suggests two of their dogs that both showcase peanut butter (one with fritos and one with chili and cheese over the PB). As I sit down and bite into one I think, "this combination is so insanely interesting and unique that I cannot stop going in for another bite!" Really, I'm not exaggerating when I say I actually missed this hot dog when I stopped eating it. Just a simple little joint. No weird frills or pretenses. Tasty dogs and relaxed eating. Cool joint.

Excellent hot dogs! Imaginative condiments. I enjoyed my 'Wacky Dog'. Chili was just the way I like it. We'll be back!

Went back today and it's still great. Family running it is super-friendly and nice. I love to support small locally-owned businesses. The hot dogs are still great. Tons of chopped pickles. Good service. Did not try the mac and cheese--but will next time. They keep adding new hotdogs--very fun. They still need fries :)

I've been thinking about this place every day since coming! They did seem a little pricier than usual (around 3.25) and come a la carte but I've found this to be a more substantial dog (the dog itself and toppings) than usual and truly worth the price! You can get by on one but you won't want to. They have a groupon going on now that is more than worth it. This place is just awesome, much, much better than that dog place downtown. Nice, steamed buns and an amazing menu. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the corn dog, it tasted frozen/steamed as opposed to fried and battered fresh.

Huge selection of themed hot dogs at reasonable prices. Couldn't ask for better. Everyone is very friendly and service is fast and efficient. Love the fact that they have soy veggie dogs available and many of the dogs can be modified slightly to suit your taste and dietary preferences. I wish the side dishes could be a little larger but overall it's a great value in Comstock.

Love this place! The goofy is my favorite, it has chili, Fritos, pickles, and peanut butter! It's so good. Not to mention the owners are so friendly and recognize us every time we come in. Highly recommended.

Wow! I traveled to Walker for training and stayed at a local Hampton Inn. I sought out this place after I found it on Yelp. I tried the Wild Hog, Rage and to top it off, the Goofy. Service was exceptional and all the dogs were awesome. I will return anytime I'm back in the area. The down fall of this business is that they aren't closer to where I live. Worth the stop or drive.

This place definitely has the most interesting assortment of hot dogs I have ever seen! I was with several people so we tried quite a few and everyone liked what they had. Next time I am making someone try the Goofy - not me but I know one of my nephews will eat it!! The staff was very friendly, we had about 10 hot dogs ordered and they brought them out 1 by 1 to our table pretty quickly. We got 2 orders of fries they they get from Mill Creek next door - those were just ok. Quite frankly overpriced for the amount we received. I like that included in their drink choices was some locally brewed root beer too. It's nice to see a local business supporting another! Definitely the place to try if you like your dogs LOADED with toppings and are looking for something a little out of the ordinary!

Recently tried this place for the first time because I had a Groupon. I loved the Kooky dog,so many pickles. All this place is missing is french fries.
